Mr Sher Aslam DPhil FRCOphth Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Oxford Eye Hospital Honorary Clinical Research Fellow, University of Oxford
Mr Sher Aslam received his BM from the University of Southampton. He was a trainee in London and undertook vitreoretinal fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He received a DPhil from the University of Oxford on photoreceptor stem cell transplantation and the treatment of retinal laser injuries.
He is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in vitreoretinal and complex cataract surgery at the Oxford Eye Hospital and is actively engaged in training of final year medical students from the University of Oxford. He has co-supervised a Rhodes scholar through to the completion of a DPhil. He is an Army Medical Officer in HM Forces, trained at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and has been involved in active overseas operations during his service. He holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
